Completely flat, these roundels work great as wall décor in rooms where space is at a premium, especially in collections featuring various sizes and patterns. They can also work well as trivets or placemats.
Natural dyes are used to color the local raffia palm and grasses used by the weavers.
These roundels are woven in a strikingly structural style that leaves the underlying grass coils exposed, which we refer to as “Njulu” after one group’s name for it.
