Weaving Nubian Baskets
Nubian refugees in Uganda, Kenya and other countries work hard to preserve their native culture through traditional activities such as basket weaving.
Weavers create these baskets by wrapping palm leaf fibers around a coil of papyrus, then stitching the coils together.

I just received three baskets from Ghana. They are all beautiful and will make wonderful Christmas gifts. So much so that I just ordered another basket. Thank you for making these purchases so easy. You have a great site and I'm sure I'll be ordering from you again. Diane
My order was just delivered, and I couldn't be happier! The stone sculpture was packaged carefully and arrived in perfect condition. It is beautiful and well made. I will find the perfect spot to display it permanently but for now I just wanted to contact you immediately and tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I will share your website and look forward to future orders. Debbie
All of our African baskets are verified Fair Trade, because we believe that indigenous people around the world should be compensated fairly for their amazing work.
