Weaving Nubian Baskets
Nubian refugees in Uganda, Kenya and other countries work hard to preserve their native culture through traditional activities such as basket weaving.
Weavers create these baskets by wrapping palm leaf fibers around a coil of papyrus, then stitching the coils together.

My highest compliments. What a truly noble endeavor to bring the gorgeous crafts of the people of Africa to grace our lives here in America. I can't describe the feeling of buying something that is made by the hands of people who give, yet who have had so much taken from them. Karim
I ordered 3 baskets from your site which arrived today. The baskets are even more beautiful in person! Your customer service is amazing, and I will definitely order more baskets from your site! I am one happy customer! Thank you very much for offering such a great product at a great price! Christine
All of our African baskets are verified Fair Trade, because we believe that indigenous people around the world should be compensated fairly for their amazing work.
