Weaving Nubian Baskets
Nubian refugees in Uganda, Kenya and other countries work hard to preserve their native culture through traditional activities such as basket weaving.
Weavers create these baskets by wrapping palm leaf fibers around a coil of papyrus, then stitching the coils together.

I wanted to let you know how satisfied I was with your processing and shipping of my order and with your website. I am very happy with the baskets I received and appreciate the fact that you sent me an accompanying information sheet and that you are a Fair Trade company. Thank you for sourcing and bringing to market these products and supporting the livelihoods of the artisans. Hilary
I love what you are doing. I can feel good about purchasing from you knowing the artists are paid fairly, treated with dignity and respect, and recognized for their skill. I prefer to decorate with items that are hand made with care as opposed to mass-produced. And knowing that you travel to these locations and work directly with the artists will make it even more special to display one of the beautiful pieces in my home. Thanks again! Misty
All of our African baskets are verified Fair Trade, because we believe that indigenous people around the world should be compensated fairly for their amazing work.
