What size is it?

The size of each item is displayed in product grids and on individual product pages. Click on the small image or item name in the product grid to see the individual product page, which contains more detailed information.

Some items are available in different sizes.  For these items, you will see a dropdown menu on the product page to select the size you want.

All dimensions are listed in inches.

Dimensions are all approximate, but we do strive to get all the measurements accurate within 1/2 inch. 

Please review the sizes carefully using a ruler or tape measure before your purchase.

What color is it?

Please know that shades of colors are difficult to display consistently due to the different types of computers, phones, tablets, operating systems, and web browser software. We have invested in high quality photography equipment and apply our 35+ years of photography experience in order to portray the colors as accurately as possible.

FREE shipping!

We offer FREE shipping to addresses in the contiguous 48 United States. We will choose the best ground shipping option for you – UPS or US Postal Service.

Unfortunately, due to increasing costs, we can no longer offer free shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, APO/FPO addresses or Canada. In order to guarantee you the lowest shipping costs, we will not process your payment immediately when you place an order. Instead, we will carefully pack your items, and then calculate the most economical UPS Ground or US Postal shipping rates. We will add the shipping cost to your order before processing payment.

To ship to addresses outside the United States, please contact us before ordering.

Carbon neutral shipping

We offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by shipping our products to you by contributing to a fund supporting verified CO2 emission reduction projects.

How fast will my order be shipped?

We are normally able to ship orders the same business day that you order, or by the next business day. Every item you see on the website is in stock and ready to ship.

When will my order arrive?

Regular UPS Ground shipping takes 2 to 6 business days depending on your location. UPS does not count weekends, evenings, or holidays as business days.

UPS SurePost shipping takes 2 to 10 business days depending on your location. With SurePost, UPS delivers to your post office and then your post office will deliver to your door. We often use SurePost for smaller packages as part of our free shipping program.

United States Postal Service shipping to PO Boxes in the Continental US usually takes 2 to 10 business days. US Postal to Hawaii, Alaska, or APO/FPO is usually 2 to 3 weeks, but can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks or sometimes more.

Each basket in our catalog is uniquely hand woven and has a distinct size and shape, but we will be pleased to wrap individual baskets of any size for you!

Smaller baskets will be wrapped in a reusable gift bag. Larger baskets will be wrapped in biodegradable tissue paper with a raffia bow.

We often get requests from people who want to give unique, high quality, handcrafted, and creative gifts. Our African baskets and and other crafts meet all those criteria. Plus, they are Fair Trade products and support weavers and their families in Africa!

Gifts for events

We provide event planners with centerpieces for tables, place setting decor, and door prizes for attendees.

Ranging from a few dozen baskets to use at the centers of 5 foot round tables to 1,000 or more small giveaways for a convention, we can usually handle most requests.

Honorarium gifts

If you are looking for unique gifts for guest lecturers, mentors or any other type of recognition gift, we have many options and can assist in choosing the perfect items.

We often work with universities and non-profits to get the perfect item at the correct price point.

Ghana Bolga baskets that are shipped overseas, to Alaska or Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Guam or other US Protectorates, or are too large to fit in a regular box, may come to you compressed or ‘flattened’. There are only a few baskets that are too large to fit in a regular box, and they have this information in their detail description on the website. Instructions on how to wet and shape Ghana Bolga baskets are included with every order.

If for any reason at all, you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, any item may be returned in its original condition for a refund within 30 days of purchase.

Returns

Should you need to return something, please contact us prior to sending it back.

Shipping charges, if any, cannot be refunded. Returns must be sent insured, properly packed, and with freight prepaid. No CODs.

Upon receiving your returned item in original condition, your refund will be processed.
