In the Bolgatanga region of northern Ghana, weavers harvest tall elephant grass that regrows each rainy season, then coil and dye it into tight, durable work. This hand fan carries that same craft in a compact form. Every fan is handmade and fairly traded, and colors are assorted and one of a kind.

Reach for it on a warm afternoon, or hang a few as woven wall decor for a bright, textural accent. If the shape ever softens, refresh it by briefly dipping it in water and reshaping by hand.
