A relatively novel shape for this weaving style, these baskets make for both a great accent piece and convenient storage for small objects.
These baskets are woven by women of the pastoralist Rendille and Sambaru peoples. The creation and sale of these baskets serves both to preserve the tradition of this weaving style and to ease economic strain brought on by a changing climate.
