Weaving Nubian Baskets
Nubian refugees in Uganda, Kenya and other countries work hard to preserve their native culture through traditional activities such as basket weaving.
Weavers create these baskets by wrapping palm leaf fibers around a coil of papyrus, then stitching the coils together.

OH!! I am SO excited! It's a Christmas present for someone who comes in on Saturday so I am so happy that it will be here before then. I want to surprise her at Christmas... Thank you!!! And thank you for having a website that we can order from! I saw the baskets at a great coffee shop a few weeks ago and kicked myself that I didn't pick one up then and there, so I was super thrilled that you have a website to order from!!! Lynn
I just received my new Market Basket. I LOVE IT! I love the color and size. I had given my other Market Basket to a friend and went on a search to replace it. I used it for my knitting and crochet projects. My new basket is perfect. Your service is terrific. Thank you! I will spread the word. Everyone should have a Fair Trade Market Basket. Denise
All of our African baskets are verified Fair Trade, because we believe that indigenous people around the world should be compensated fairly for their amazing work.
