The Batwa people are known as “The Keepers of the Forest” because they have inhabited the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for over 60,000 years. The women who weave these baskets support themselves entirely by their craft.
From the harvesting of the materials to the design, dyeing, and weaving, Rwenzori baskets are a Masterweave art form. Only the most skilled artisans can create these beautiful baskets.

The wholesale order arrived yesterday. I'm writing to say thank you. I LOVE the baskets. The Zulu large flared bowl is breathtaking. I'm proud to carry the baskets and appreciate your selectivity. Also, I like the information sheets. They answer nearly every question. Thank you again for sending such beautiful baskets in the wholesale order!
