Since wire baskets are woven by many men due to the difficult nature of weaving wire, they are able to stay home on their tribal lands instead of moving to cities to look for work. In the rural groups we work with, the family units are preserved so that the weavers and their families can live more traditional lifestyles.
I want you to know that the basket just arrived in perfect shape. Delivery company was great as were the fellows who brought it into the house. It came through the front door without a hitch. I am ecstatic to have it. Thank you for being so conscientious and caring about the delivery. It's such a special piece in our lives. It's just so hard to believe it's here with us - amazing. Peggy
THANK YOU! I have ordered a few from you and have given some as gifts and EVERYONE loves them! The hardest part is picking the color combos! Beth
All of our African baskets are verified Fair Trade, because we believe that indigenous people around the world should be compensated fairly for their amazing work.
