Weaving Zulu Ilala Palm Baskets in South Africa
The age-old tradition of basket weaving is usually passed down from grandmother to granddaughter. This helps to preserve Zulu culture as the grandmothers have the opportunity to recite oral history and stories to the younger generations as they all weave together.

No one else has the variety of baskets that you have accumulated. I did my research. And no one else has the consistent quality. People with baskets of their own come up and talk with me and several of the baskets do not have the double strand twist and those that do, do not have the vibrant dyes. Carrie
